ABOUT ME
Self-proclaimed mermaid, adventure seeker and bibliophile

Hello! I am Emily, I also go by Em so feel free to use either of those. I am a wedding and lifestyle photographer in the Fraser Valley and Greater Vancouver area. I am slightly obsessed with capturing details and documenting your day to create a love story written with photographs.
I currently live in Chilliwack, BC but I love to visit new places and adventure. I have traveled to only 8 different countries but plan on visiting many more soon. As much as I enjoy exploring foreign places, British Columbia in itself is one of the most gorgeous places in the world. I am always up for exploring new places in this beautiful province I call home, so if you would like to go somewhere cool I would love to tag along!
I love the clients who aren't scared to roll around in the grass and dip their toes in the cold glacier-fed water! Sometimes I ask you to do goofy things, sometimes I ask you to be in the moment with your loved ones and breathe them in. If you're okay with getting down and dirty and having a good time getting some beautiful photos, we would be a great fit!

I have been behind the camera since I was young. I vividly remember getting my first disposable camera when I was in Brownies and we were going to have a sleepover at the Vancouver Aquarium. I took that flimsy little camera and tried my best to shoot everything I could with 27 exposures.
I graduated in 2017 with a Bachelors of Business Admin majoring in marketing and minoring in communications. It took me 6 years to finish my degree which is longer than I would have liked, but my first 2 years I actually went to university for photography.
Why did I switch majors? Well, let me tell you! I took as many photography courses in high school as I could, and even taught photography as a teacher's assistant for extra credits. So loving photography so much in high school meant I would love it just as much in university, right? Wrong. I was trying to get my Fine Arts degree with a major in photography. So along with my photo classes, I was also taking drawing, sculpting, media arts... Etc. Things I had NO idea how to do, and did not enjoy doing (nor was I really that good at any of them)! So, I switched to business and vowed I would one day have my own photography business.
And here we are! I have a full-time job advocating for a cleaner planet and I own a small business that allows me to explore my creative side and meet amazing people!
